MVK hosted this year's 8th grade IVC tournament.
Game 1: Dwight vs MVK
Our 8th grade girls went into the game with an aggressive defense holding Dwight to only 10 points for the entire game! MVK beat Dwight 32/10. Taya led the team with 13 points followed by Emma with 7 & Taylor with 6. Summer contributed two baskets as well!!
Game 2: Seneca vs MVK
Seneca had a deep bench giving no rest for our six 8th graders. Our girls played hard till the last buzzer. In the end Seneca won 28/13. Taylor led with 6 points followed by Taya with 4.
Game 3 & final game:. GSW vs MVK
This game was a battle for 3rd place in IVC. It was a battle to literally the last second! MVK powered thru winning 30/28!!! Taya led the team with 9 points followed by Taylor with 9.

This year's 7th grade IVC tournament was hosted by GSW.
Game 1: Saratoga vs MVK
MVK came out strong and kept pressure on Saratoga thru the entire game! Combined MVK caused Saratoga to turn the ball over 20 times! Leslie led the team with 8 points followed by Kaitlyn with 6 points. MVK won 19/4.
Game 2 & final game: battling for 1st place vs Seneca
Earlier in the year we had beaten Seneca and they were ready for their chance to beat us! Seneca poured on the defense & their press from the first second till the last buzzer and never let up in between. Kaitlyn led MVK with 9 points & Leslie followed with 6. Combined Leslie and Harmony caused Seneca to turn the ball over 21 times but in the end it wasn't enough.
Our 6th & 7th graders battled hard but came up short. Seneca took 1st in IVC tournament beating our lady Maverick's 30/19.
