REPORTING AN ABSENCE– Parent contact is required each morning prior to 9:00 A.M. if a child will be absent that day. The school must account fully for all children in attendance and absent each day by 10:30 A.M. If the school must initiate contact with a parent three times per semester concerning the absence, subsequent absences where the school must make contact will be unexcused. If your child’s attendance concerns continue and are due to illness, a doctor’s note or a visit to our school nurse will be required to excuse future absences. You may also be asked to contact the school nurse to sign a consent form to release medical information in order to discuss medical concerns keeping your child from regular attendance. All unexcused absences will merit half credit on graded assignments.
